GENBAND Ranks on Inc. 500 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies for Third Consecutive Year

Inc. magazine ranked GENBAND the ninth fastest growing telecommunications company in its prestigious Inc. 500 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies. As a recognized leader in next-generation IP gateways, GENBAND earned its spot on the Inc. 500 list for the third consecutive year.

The 28th annual Inc. 500 list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs.

On Inc.’s 2009 list, GENBAND ranked 298th overall, with three-year revenue growth of 791.6 percent. According to Inc.’s published report, the growth rate during this period of the average company in the telecommunications industry was just 33.23 percent. GENBAND also achieved the number eight spot among the fastest-growing companies in the competitive Dallas Metroplex area.

“We are extremely pleased to receive this prestigious recognition once again,” said Charlie Vogt, president and chief executive officer of GENBAND. “The GENBAND team continues to deliver strong performance year after year despite a daunting economy and stiff competition. Our successful growth is a direct result of our extraordinary employees, market-leading product portfolio, and unique go-to-market strategy. We look forward to continuing our momentum and capitalizing on the tremendous opportunities in the telecommunications industry as service providers continue to embrace the cost savings, innovation, and transformation they achieve with our solutions.”

GENBAND recently celebrated its 10th anniversary of operations. Since its founding in June of 1999, GENBAND has been driving the evolution and transformation of telecommunications networks through market-leading IP gateways, session border controllers and fixed mobile convergence solutions. These high-performance, high-security gateways are at the center of fixed and mobile networks around the globe. Under the direction of Mr. Vogt, who was appointed CEO in September 2004, GENBAND has leveraged its powerful media gateway technology and acquired other key IP platform assets to become a category leader.

Today GENBAND is recognized as a worldwide market-share leader in IP Gateways by industry analysts Infonetics and Synergy Research. Despite the volatile nature of the telecom market, GENBAND has successfully secured business with over 60 of the world’s top 100 network service providers, partnered with eight of the world’s largest telecom equipment manufacturers, extended its global reach to over 80 countries, executed four major acquisitions, and grown revenues to $145 million (2008).
